  2. Propylene Glycol Humectants. Glycol solvent and humectant, the older sibling of propanediol.
  3. Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  4. Glycolic Acid Actives. Smallest AHA, deepest penetration.
  5. Lactic Acid Actives. AHA with humectant effect.
  6. Polysorbate-20Feeds Malassezia Surfactants. Solubiliser for oils and fragrance in water.
  7. Kojic Acid Dipalmitate

  34. Betaine Humectants. Sugar-beet osmolyte, reduces sting from other ingredients.
