- Aqua Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
- Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
- 1,3-Propanediol Humectants. Corn-derived glycol, solvent and humectant.
- Niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
- Colloidal Oatmeal Actives. Finely milled oat, FDA skin protectant with avenanthramides.
- Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil Fragrance, colour, solvents. Masking, perfuming, skin conditioning
- Heptyl Glucoside Surfactants. Surfactant
- Glyceryl Glucoside Humectants. Humectant, skin conditioning
- Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract Emollients. Emollient, skin conditioning
- Hordeum Vulgare (Barley) Seed Extract Other ingredients. Skin conditioning
- Polyquaternium-39 Thickeners and film formers. Antistatic, film forming
- Carbomer Thickeners and film formers. Acrylic gel former, needs neutralising.
- Sodium Levulinate Other ingredients. Skin conditioning
- Potassium Sorbate Preservatives. Antifungal preservative, works at low pH.
- Sodium Gluconate pH adjusters and chelators. Mild chelator.
- Sodium Hydroxide pH adjusters and chelators. Base for neutralising acids and carbomers.
- Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
