The Charcoal Gang | Must Have Regime
- Purified Water Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
- Sodium C 14 Olefin Sulphonate
- Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
- Decyl Glucoside Surfactants. Sugar-based non-ionic, very mild.
- Niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
- Carbamide Humectants. Humectant at 2 to 10 percent, keratolytic above.
- Cocoamidopropyl Betaine Surfactants. Amphoteric foam booster, mild.
- Carbomer (Carbopol 940) Thickeners and film formers. Acrylic gel former, needs neutralising.
- Sodium Hydroxide pH adjusters and chelators. Base for neutralising acids and carbomers.
- Dimethicone Emollients. Non-volatile silicone, slip and light occlusion.
- Lactic Acid Actives. AHA with humectant effect.
- Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
- Activated Charcoal
- Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot) Oil
- Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Extract
- Salicylic Acid Actives. BHA, oil-soluble, clears inside the pore.
- Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate Antioxidants. Stable vitamin E ester.
- Allantoin Actives. Soothing keratolytic.
- Disodium EDTA pH adjusters and chelators. Chelator that protects preservatives.
- Melia Azadirachta Indica (Neem) Extract Other ingredients. Skin conditioning
- Piper Nigrum (Black Pepper) Seed Oil Fragrance, colour, solvents. Astringent, masking
- Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract Other ingredients. Antimicrobial, refreshing, tonic
