- Acrylate/C10-30 Alkyl acrylate crosspolymer Thickeners and film formers. Gel former that holds oils in suspension.
- Disodium EDTA pH adjusters and chelators. Chelator that protects preservatives.
- Triethanolamine pH adjusters and chelators. Amine neutraliser.
- Glycerine Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
- Propylene Glycol Humectants. Glycol solvent and humectant, the older sibling of propanediol.
- Betain Humectants. Sugar-beet osmolyte, reduces sting from other ingredients.
- Sodium Hyaluronate Humectants. Smaller fragments reach the upper epidermis.
- Niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
- Allantoin Actives. Soothing keratolytic.
