  3. glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  4. propanediol Humectants. Corn-derived glycol, solvent and humectant.
  5. C12-15 alkyl benzoateFeeds Malassezia Emollients. Medium ester, strong filter solvent.
  6. diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate Modern UV filters. Oil-soluble UVA I filter, peak 354 nm. Max 10 percent.
  7. titanium dioxide Mineral filters and pigments. UVB particulate, often a booster in hybrids.
  8. ethylhexyl triazone Modern UV filters. Strongest UVB absorber per gram. Max 5 percent.
  9. bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyltriazine Modern UV filters. Oil-soluble broad spectrum UVA and UVB. Max 10 percent.
  10. niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
  11. glyceryl stearateFeeds Malassezia Emulsifiers. Workhorse non-ionic emulsifier.
