  1. Purified water Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
  2. isoamyl P-methoxycinnamate Other ingredients. Uv absorber, uv filter
  3. denatured alcohol Fragrance, colour, solvents. Solvent that lightens texture and dries the barrier.
  4. drometrizole trisiloxane Modern UV filters. Oil-soluble broad spectrum silicone filter.
  5. ethylhexyl salicylate Old-generation UV filters. Ethylhexyl salicylate, weak UVB solvent-filter.
  6. glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  7. propanediol Humectants. Corn-derived glycol, solvent and humectant.
  8. tromethamine pH adjusters and chelators. Amine neutraliser, gentle.
  9. niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
  10. phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid Modern UV filters. Water-soluble UVB filter from the 1990s.
  11. terephthalylidene dicamphorsulfonic acid Modern UV filters. Water-soluble UVA filter, peak 345 nm.
  12. 1,2-hexanediol Preservatives. Glycol with antimicrobial effect, humectant.
  13. diethylaminohydroxybenzoylhexylbenzoate Modern UV filters. Oil-soluble UVA I filter, peak 354 nm. Max 10 percent.
