- Water/Eau Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
- Propanediol Humectants. Corn-derived glycol, solvent and humectant.
- 1,2-Hexanediol Preservatives. Glycol with antimicrobial effect, humectant.
- Niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
- Hydroxyethyl Urea Humectants. Hair conditioning, humectant, skin conditioning
- Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid pH adjusters and chelators. Buffering
- Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
- Dipropylene Glycol Thickeners and film formers. Masking, perfuming, solvent, viscosity controlling
- Tromethamine pH adjusters and chelators. Amine neutraliser, gentle.
- Carnitine Surfactants. Antistatic, cleansing, foam boosting, hair conditioning, skin conditioning, surfactant, viscosity controlling
- Allantoin Actives. Soothing keratolytic.
- Salicylic Acid Actives. BHA, oil-soluble, clears inside the pore.
- Sodium Polyacrylate Thickeners and film formers. Quick-thickening polymer.
- Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid Humectants. Smaller fragments reach the upper epidermis.
- Citric Acid pH adjusters and chelators. Acid for pH adjustment.
- Serine Fragrance, colour, solvents. Antistatic, hair conditioning, masking, skin conditioning
- Arginine Fragrance, colour, solvents. Antistatic, hair conditioning, masking, skin conditioning
- Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate Actives. Glabridin and glycyrrhizin, tyrosinase inhibitor and soother.
- Gluconolactone* Actives. PHA, mild exfoliant and humectant.
- Beta-Glucan Humectants. Oat or yeast polysaccharide, humectant and soother.
