  1. Aqua Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
  2. Propylene Glycol Humectants. Glycol solvent and humectant, the older sibling of propanediol.
  3. 1,2-Hexanediol Preservatives. Glycol with antimicrobial effect, humectant.
  4. Niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
  5. Azelaic Acid Actives. Dicarboxylic acid, anti-acne and anti-pigment.
  6. Ethoxydiglycol Humectants. Humectant, perfuming, solvent
  7. Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate Other ingredients. Skin conditioning
  8. Sodium Hydroxide pH adjusters and chelators. Base for neutralising acids and carbomers.
  9. Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  10. Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
  11. Allantoin Actives. Soothing keratolytic.
  12. Xanthan Gum Thickeners and film formers. Natural gum thickener.
  13.   Sodium Citrate pH adjusters and chelators. Buffering, chelating, masking
