  1. Aqua (Water) Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
  2. Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract Skin conditioning
  3. Butylene Glycol Humectants. Solvent and humectant, improves spread of actives.
  4. Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  5. Propanediol Humectants. Corn-derived glycol, solvent and humectant.
  6. Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract Bleaching, emollient, perfuming, skin conditioning, smoothing, soothing
  7. Niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
  8. Tranexamic Acid Actives. Plasmin inhibitor, reduces melanocyte signalling.
  9. Alpha-Arbutin Actives. Hydroquinone glycoside, tyrosinase inhibitor.
  10. Betaine Humectants. Sugar-beet osmolyte, reduces sting from other ingredients.
  11. Sodium Hyaluronate Humectants. Smaller fragments reach the upper epidermis.

  54. Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
  55. Triethanolamine pH adjusters and chelators. Amine neutraliser.
