  5. Glycerine Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  6. Propylene Glycol Humectants. Glycol solvent and humectant, the older sibling of propanediol.
  7. Glycolic Acid Actives. Smallest AHA, deepest penetration.
