PIXI Serum 23 ingredients
  1. Aqua/Water/Eau Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
  2. Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  3. Glycolic Acid Actives. Smallest AHA, deepest penetration.
  4. Sodium Hydroxide pH adjusters and chelators. Base for neutralising acids and carbomers.
  5. Polysorbate 20Feeds Malassezia Surfactants. Solubiliser for oils and fragrance in water.
  6. Hydroxyethylcellulose Thickeners and film formers. Cellulose thickener, non-tacky.
  7. Ethylhexylglycerin Preservatives. Preservative booster and deodorising agent.
  8. Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract Emollients. Emollient, skin conditioning
  9. Arginine Fragrance, colour, solvents. Antistatic, hair conditioning, masking, skin conditioning
  10. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Humectants. Mild humectant with soothing polysaccharides.
  11. Tocopheryl Acetate Antioxidants. Stable vitamin E ester.
  12. Ascorbyl Palmitate Antioxidants. Antioxidant, masking
  13. Ascorbic Acid Actives. Pure vitamin C, needs pH 3.5 and 10 to 20 percent.
  14. Sucrose Humectants. Humectant, skin conditioning, soothing
  15. Hydrogenated Lecithin Emulsifiers. Emulsifying, skin conditioning
  16. LecithinFeeds Malassezia Emulsifiers. Phospholipid emulsifier and penetration aid.
  17. Caprylic/Capric TriglycerideMalassezia borderline Emollients. Fractionated coconut triglyceride.

  21. Propylene Glycol Humectants. Glycol solvent and humectant, the older sibling of propanediol.
  22. Disodium EDTA pH adjusters and chelators. Chelator that protects preservatives.
  23. Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
