Botanical Collagen & Retinol Serum
- Aqua/Water/Eau Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
- Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
- Niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
- Arginine Fragrance, colour, solvents. Antistatic, hair conditioning, masking, skin conditioning
- Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract Other ingredients. Antimicrobial, refreshing, tonic
- Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Extract
- Acacia Senegal Gum Thickeners and film formers. Film forming, masking
- Retinol Actives. Converts to retinal then retinoic acid in skin.
- Ascorbic Acid Actives. Pure vitamin C, needs pH 3.5 and 10 to 20 percent.
- Citric Acid pH adjusters and chelators. Acid for pH adjustment.
- Acetyl Heptapeptide-4 Humectants. Humectant, skin conditioning
- Nicotiana Benthamiana Hexapeptide-40 sh-Polypeptide-47
- Xanthan Gum Thickeners and film formers. Natural gum thickener.
- Carbomer Thickeners and film formers. Acrylic gel former, needs neutralising.
- Potassium Sorbate Preservatives. Antifungal preservative, works at low pH.
- Sodium Benzoate Preservatives. Food-grade preservative, works below pH 5.5.
- Pentylene Glycol Humectants. Humectant with preservative boosting.
- Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin Fragrance, colour, solvents. Masking, skin conditioning
- Sodium Phytate pH adjusters and chelators. Plant chelator.
- Caprylyl Glycol Preservatives. Glycol preservative booster, humectant.
- Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
