  4. Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  5. Caprylyl/ Capryl Glucoside Surfactants. Cleansing, foaming, surfactant
  6. Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate Surfactants. Cleansing, foaming, surfactant
  7. Decl Glucoside Surfactants. Sugar-based non-ionic, very mild.
  8. Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine Surfactants. Antistatic, cleansing, foam boosting, hair conditioning, skin conditioning, surfactant, viscosity controlling
  9. Betaine Humectants. Sugar-beet osmolyte, reduces sting from other ingredients.
