- Salicylic Acid Actives. BHA, oil-soluble, clears inside the pore.
- Water Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
- Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate Surfactants. Mild anionic with good foam.
- Acrylates/Steareth-20 Methacrylate Copolymer Thickeners and film formers. Viscosity controlling
- Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
- PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate Surfactants. Cleansing, emulsifying, solvent, surfactant
- Sodium Laureth Sulfate Surfactants. Ethoxylated SLS, milder.
- Arginine Fragrance, colour, solvents. Antistatic, hair conditioning, masking, skin conditioning
- Butylene Glycol Humectants. Solvent and humectant, improves spread of actives.
- PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate Surfactants. Emulsifying, surfactant
- Panthenol Humectants. Provitamin B5, humectant and wound-healing support.
- Disodium EDTA pH adjusters and chelators. Chelator that protects preservatives.
- Citric Acid pH adjusters and chelators. Acid for pH adjustment.
- PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Surfactants. Emulsifying, surfactant
- Sodium Citrate pH adjusters and chelators. Buffering, chelating, masking
- Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
- Caprylyl Glycol Preservatives. Glycol preservative booster, humectant.
- Chlorphenesin Preservatives. Antifungal preservative.
