- Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract Actives. Hamamelis extract, astringent tannins, often in alcohol.
- Decyl Glucoside Surfactants. Sugar-based non-ionic, very mild.
- Capryl Glucoside Surfactants. Cleansing, surfactant
- Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
- Salicylic Acid Actives. BHA, oil-soluble, clears inside the pore.
- Zinc PCA Actives. Zinc salt with sebum-reducing data.
- Trehalose Humectants. Sugar that protects cells from water loss.
- Saccharide Isomerate Humectants. Humectant
- Xanthan Gum Thickeners and film formers. Natural gum thickener.
- Citric Acid pH adjusters and chelators. Acid for pH adjustment.
- Sodium Citrate pH adjusters and chelators. Buffering, chelating, masking
- Benzoic Acid Preservatives. Acid preservative in some French sunscreens.
- Capryloyl Glycine Surfactants. Cleansing, hair conditioning, surfactant
- Undecylenoyl Glycine Surfactants. Cleansing, hair conditioning, surfactant
- Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
