  1. Aqua (Water) Water, the base most formulas are built on. It dissolves the other ingredients
  2. Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate Old-generation UV filters. Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, UVB. Degrades avobenzone.
  3. Dimethicone Emollients. Non-volatile silicone, slip and light occlusion.
  4. Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate Modern UV filters. Oil-soluble UVA I filter, peak 354 nm. Max 10 percent.
  5. Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  6. Dibutyl Adipate Emollients. Light C4 ester, excellent filter solvent.
  7. Rice starch
  8. Tris-Biphenyl Triazine Modern UV filters. Particulate UVB to UVA II filter.
  9. Ethylhexyl Triazone Modern UV filters. Strongest UVB absorber per gram. Max 5 percent.
  10. Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetra Methylbutylphenol Modern UV filters. Particulate broad spectrum filter in water dispersion.
