- Citric Acid pH adjusters and chelators. Acid for pH adjustment.
- Sodium Citrate Buffering, chelating, masking
- Sodium Hydroxide pH adjusters and chelators. Base for neutralising acids and carbomers.
- Sodium Benzoate Preservatives. Food-grade preservative, works below pH 5.5.
- Potassium Sorbate Preservatives. Antifungal preservative, works at low pH.
- Sodium Hyaluronate Humectants. Smaller fragments reach the upper epidermis.
- Sodium Gluconate pH adjusters and chelators. Mild chelator.
- Equisetum Arvense Extract Astringent, emollient, soothing, tonic
- Hamamelis Virginiana Water Actives. Hamamelis extract, astringent tannins, often in alcohol.
- Benzoic Acid Preservatives. Acid preservative in some French sunscreens.
