  2. Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate Old-generation UV filters. Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, UVB. Degrades avobenzone.
  3. Cyclopentasiloxane Emollients. Emollient, hair conditioning, skin conditioning, solvent
  4. Dibutyl Adipate Emollients. Light C4 ester, excellent filter solvent.
  5. Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate Modern UV filters. Oil-soluble UVA I filter, peak 354 nm. Max 10 percent.
  6. Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol Modern UV filters. Particulate broad spectrum filter in water dispersion.

  8. Decyl Glucoside Surfactants. Sugar-based non-ionic, very mild.
  9. Propylene Glycol Humectants. Glycol solvent and humectant, the older sibling of propanediol.
  10. Xanthan Gum Thickeners and film formers. Natural gum thickener.
  11. Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  12. Dimethicone Emollients. Non-volatile silicone, slip and light occlusion.
  13. Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate Emulsifiers. Emulsifying, viscosity controlling
  14. Sorbitan Isostearate Emulsifiers. Emulsifying
