  2. Glycerin Humectants. The reference humectant. Cheap, proven, works at 3 to 10 percent.
  3. C12-15 Alkyl BenzoateFeeds Malassezia Emollients. Medium ester, strong filter solvent.
  4. 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid Actives. Stable, oil and water soluble vitamin C.
  5. Glyceryl Mono StearateFeeds Malassezia Emulsifiers. Workhorse non-ionic emulsifier.
  6. Cetostearyl AlcoholPore-clogging 2/5 Emollients. Fatty alcohol thickener and co-emulsifier.

  8. Propanediol Humectants. Corn-derived glycol, solvent and humectant.
  9. Phenoxyethanol Preservatives. The standard broad-spectrum preservative at up to 1 percent.
  10. Ethylhexylglycerin Preservatives. Preservative booster and deodorising agent.
  11. Panthenol Humectants. Provitamin B5, humectant and wound-healing support.
  12. Niacinamide Actives. Vitamin B3. Sebum, barrier, pigment transfer, at 2 to 5 percent.
  13. Ceramide EOP Actives. Barrier lipids. Work in a 3:1:1 ratio with cholesterol and fatty acids.

  20. Butylene Glycol Humectants. Solvent and humectant, improves spread of actives.
  21. Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer Emulsifiers. Polymeric gel former, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer.
  22. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer Thickeners and film formers. Gel former that holds oils in suspension.
  23. Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil Emollients. Emollient, perfuming, skin conditioning

  28. Triethanolamine pH adjusters and chelators. Amine neutraliser.
  29. Sodium Gluconate pH adjusters and chelators. Mild chelator.
  30. Citric Acid pH adjusters and chelators. Acid for pH adjustment.
